Wrapping up April
Well I'm feeling a little sentimental. This is the last spring I will spend in this house, with these gardens that I have worked so hard on for 9 years. The weather is perfect - warm enough for blooms, no more freezes, and no violent thunderstorms to rip off all the pretty blossoms (yet). So I did some photographing of random April happenings that include my favorite spring yard pictures:
Some early spring bulbs.

Ok. So I was going to cut a limb from this tree and RIGHT as I was starting the cut I saw this frog sitting on the branch. A sign from God? I think so. It certainly got my attention. I ran to get Ethan, the only one home at the time. Later he told his dad, "Mommy found a red-eyed tree frog!!!". Red-eyed? Where did he get that? His eyes were not glowing or satanic that I could tell.

When our crabapple finally shed its billions of pink petals, they blew across the driveway and settled in the little crevasse. They're such a brilliant contrast to their surroundings.

The last spring picture of my kids in front the great crabapple that I photograph every year. The only thing that keeps me from weeping is looking at Sheridan struggling to hold up Evan. Now I'm laughing.

My unique species tulips called "Angelique". They are so delicate. We are supposed to have hail this weekend so I think I will cut and bring them in.

My very pregnant sister (about 37 weeks here) resting with Ethan on the couch. She is 38 weeks today and says she is ready to get the ball rolling! Who isn't at 38 weeks???

The other night I let Evan bounce around while I e-mailed. After a few minutes it got quiet. He had totally bounced himself to sleep. Talk about efficiency! When I woke him up he straightened up, eyes still closed, and started bouncing again in his sleep. Quite funny.
That pic of Sheridan holding Evan totally tickles me. How big is he now??? Prob double the size of my girls.
