We finally are getting measurable snow tonight...of course the weathermen promised 3 or 4 inches, but I think we'll be lucky to see two. Sher and Ethan were not shy. They grabbed whatever shoes they found the fastest and headed out before BED to play in it. It was so peaceful and quiet. Even little Evan was mesmerized by it and cried when we came inside.

Trying to find a place to cram one more ornament - it was a packed house this year!
Actually, they are done decorating and trying to find the "Christmas Pickle". This is a tradition in my family - I think it's a German thing but I may be a bit idealistic on that.
Evan being uncharacteristically gentle with the ornaments. The newness of it has already worn off and he pretty much leaves it alone. Now getting him to leave presents alone will be a different story.
Ethan was in charge of hanging up all the sparkly ornaments .

Oh, Tannenbaum!
The Christmas Tree has been chosen and decorated! Sheridan and Ethan were most helpful this year and though most ornaments were mysteriosly hung about 3 and 4 feet up. Well after a little re-organizing (and much chasing of the youngest child), we finally have it just right!

The finished product!
The tree looks beautiful. And I recognize the Oyster-shell Santa! And, we too have a Christmas pickle thanks to our lovely Frick friends!! And, Sheridan is a girl after my own heart--LOVED her Santa wish-list!! Turi
