 San Francisco and Napa/Sonoma Valley

View of San Fran, the Bay, Fisherman's Wharf (right), and Golden Gate Bridge from our 19th floor hotel room.  Waking up to this was awesome!

One of the best places to eat in Fisherman's Wharf.  I did have to laugh at their little steak menu.  They definitely know their seafood, but KC's got the corner on the steak market I'm afraid!  We only ate seafood the entire time we were there.

Thinking about something life-changing I'm sure.  There was a little beach area on which to sit and gaze.

Mmmmm.  Fresh seafood market.  They catch it, give it to these people, then they cook it and serve it right up!  This was taken after beer, clam chowder, and salmon cakes.

The famous Ghirardelli Square.  We ate the best Sundaes we've EVER had there.  We inhaled them.

Awesome old ship with huge rig.

Nothing says patriotism like a beaming U.S. citizen, the American flag, and Alcatraz.

Aboard the SS Jemeriah O'Brien - the last Liberty ship from WWII.  It sailed to Normandy and back unharmed.

Here's how the Jeremiah protected itself while dropping off its supplies.  That could do some damage.

Looking back on San Francisco's steep hills from the boat.  Oh and we climbed 'em alright.  That's how you justify eating Sundaes smothered in Ghirardelli chocolate.

Just crossed the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito.  Heading to wine country with Brooke and Dan.....

Me, Phil, Brooke, and Dan at our cottage in Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards.  Heaven....

View of the driveway going into the vineyard and cottage.

Our sweet little place.

Had a little down-time, so helped out Bruno and Jesus clean and sort grapes for a few hours.  Very interesting conversation!  For real, I learned SO much!  We spent quite a bit of time with the Winemaker, Robert Hunt, and the owner, Todd "The Todd" Anderson.  :) One of our best experiences ever!

Brooke and I wandered far and wide all over the vineyard!

In the caves tasting some excellent wine!

Barrels and barrels of aging wine in the caves...

Ah!  This picture makes me breathless!  Brooke and I were out walking quite early in the vineyard.  I miss that place so much already.

Old cab sauv vines.  They look so perfect and balanced!
