Sheridan Turns 7!

Sheridan had her friend party on Saturday. We are big believers in just having parties at home. I think later on when she's older we'll book something, but at this age simple is better and they all had fun.

We had nine little girls over, all friends since last year in Kindergarten or even from preschool. All nine of them tried to squish onto this swing. Yes, the two on the end are identical twins. Listen to all their cute little names: Jordan, Chaney, Sheridan, Annie, Erica, Jolie, Audrey, Haley, and Sydney.

This is Sheridan's best buddy, Annie. They are modeling their candy necklaces and rings. That was one project we did and it went over well. I used pink, very fine wire and gave them fruit loops, life saver rings, peach rings, etc, and they loaded them up! The other project was making jewely boxes - we just glued lots of little jewels all over wooden heart-shaped boxes. That took up some time and kept things quiet...for a little bit.

Saturday was also Grammy's birthday! Her gift was coming to help me with the girls and watch Evan. What a gift. But judging by this picture the Evan part was OK!
Happy Birthday Mom!!!

I won't tell you her age but you wouldn't believe it. She looks much younger than stated age...

Sheridan is really into horses this year. She reads horse books, acts like a horse, likes her horse costume Grandma Bettye made her, and now got some horse figurines for her birthday.

On a side note, I am noticing in this picture her hair looks a little like Tina Turner's. Some of you will remember I tried out that look for Halloween 3 years ago and I think Sheridan looks more like her than I did.

  1. Thanks for your word of caution, Amy. I think that's why I keep avoiding a chiropractor, because I'm nervous about them working on my pregnant self.
Those things you listed are all my symtoms. I do have an experienced and pregnant physical therapist friend who can check me out. What do you have to do for a bulging disc? Sounds scary.

  2. A physical therapist is an excellent choice. A disc is a cartilage...well, disc in your back that absorbs shock when you walk, run, etc. B/c of those activities and different positioning from pregnancy, those little discs will get shoved over a bit or swell on one side. That is not what causes the pain. What causes the pain is the swollen disc part presses on whichever nerve is exiting your spine and traveling down your leg, ie why you can feel it in your leg or other parts of your back. A P.T. will give you exercises and help you move in ways to release the pressure on that nerve root. I had this with Ethan and was in utter agony. Best wishes and let me know how else I can help...love, Amy
