BRANSON

Let me clarify by saying the following pictures are mostly just Branson stuff.... we obviously could not take our digital camera to Silver Dollar City on roller coasters and water rides. So we bought a disposable camera and took several "fun" pictures that are being.....gasp .... developed.

In the meantime, enjoy the Branson ones. Our trip started with the Wax Museum which Phil and I loved because we knew all the characters:

Some of Sher's favorite characters right off the bat. They were eerily real. When an adult stands in front of Dorothy all the characters are staring right at you; you almost expect one of them to blink or twitch they were so realistic.

Phil with Hef. Hugh seemed to honestly enjoy it.

Johnny Depp. Gulp. Here I am begging for his attention. When he gave me none I turned to Orlando Bloom behind him...hey, I'll take either. But they both ignored me, I'm not exotic enough for them.

Harrison Ford, a Frick Family favorite!

THIS room was incredible. Of course I love all things scary and haunted, so this entire chamber was my kind of stuff. The kids were NOT impressed. I was, with the Exorcist, and Mike, Jason, and Freddy replicas. You should have seen the Anthony Hopkins one from Silence of the Lambs. Too real for words.

My kinda guys.

Sheridan with her favorite horse from Dixie Stampede, which was amazing! You couldn't take any pictures during the show. It was a dinner show, we were served a 4-course meal while the North and South "battled" it out on horseback with singing, dancing, comedy, and audience participation. The kids loved it and so did our stomachs. We needed to walk off our meal at Dixie Stampede so we drove out to Table Rock Dam and walked around. This picture does it no justice but it was gorgeous.

Ethan giving his sis a squeeze and her tolerating it for a picture at Table Rock. :)

Us in Marvel Cave. This is the photo they take of you to purchase after the tour.

There is a story behind this photo: Behind us in line was an old lady, about 80 and alone, whom we wondered if she should be doing this (the tour was labeled "strenuous"). We thought she had it under control. She didn't. Phil and I took turns guiding her because she was tired and could not see well. We were well behind the rest of the group. The guide gave Phil her flashlight and he took her through the entire 1 hour and 15 minute tour, step-by-step. Near the end, as I was walking with the kids in front of Phil and the old lady, another woman got dizzy and was fainting as I walked by. So me, Phil, the kids, the old woman, and the fainting woman and her husband were all crammed at the bottom of this cave - Phil now with the old woman and kids, me now with the fainting woman, who was by then laying on the cave floor. Anyway, after everyone was stable, I ran "up" the cave and got the guide, and we very eventually finished the tour. Before we left the guide brought us this picture and several cave "gifts" for us to take for free...very nice. We were just glad to help out.
