Phil has two good buddies, Brian and Craig, and they both have really cool girlfriends, Tiffany and Jill. So, we all loaded up and zoomed to Hermann last weekend. It was an awesome-good time and the leaves and fall color were still kickin'! We miss you, Turi and Nate! We've been to Hermann with Turi and Nate numerous times. But no matter who we take, there is always good wine, excellent friends, lots of laughs, and more German sausage and cheese curds that one person should consume at one time. Trust me.
In order: Brian and Tiff, Phil and I, Craig and Jill. This is at Oak Glenn Winery. All of our Hermann wine groupies (Turi and Nate included) conclude that it offers the most gorgeous view and the most awful wine.
The Queens of Hermann . This is right next to the Deutscheim Museum where my great-great grandfather's picture and belongings reside. He was a judge in Gasconade County for many years. By the way, his name was Ransom Breuer, which is where we got Ethan's middle name.
Guenther and Brunhilde. The funniest thing that day was seeing Tiffany's Asian face on the honky-white German. She rocked it. Lots of laughing ensued.
Touring Stone Hill's cellar
Phil and I found a tried-and-true restaurant in Hermann called The Cottage. It is a refurbished home that displays local art and makes awesome food! The peanut butter pie is perhaps the best dessert I've ever had. Should any subscribers to my blog ever come to Hermann with us, you will be eating said pie whether you want to or not.
So anyway, we had a great time and were happy to induct more friends into the Hermann Hall of Fame. Prost!
