Oklahoma

(Warning: long post!)

My Aunt Kay and Uncle Ron own a beautiful lake house on Grand Lake, and we have been going there on and off since I was about eight. It was the one chance we got to visit our cousins from Tulsa every year, and now we cousins all have children of our own. So every Labor Day the Kansas and Oklahoma Kramer cousins flock to Grand Lake with children in tow. Whew!

Oh, I just love this of Mom with Cam and Evan!

The kids loved sitting at the front of the boat whether it was moving or not.

Ethan's first dip in the lake (willingly this year), and being silly as usual.

Sheridan discovered fishing this year and it was actually her favorite thing to do! She caught about 10 fish, their total weight about 1 lb. And guess who wouldn't bait her own hook or take the fish off? No daughter of mine will do that for long!

Sher and Riley - they were so cute together! They were always hugging and having fun.

Evan liked sitting on the "boat boat boat". I spent the better part of the weekend with food in my mouth - it was how I coped with the craziness!

My sweet little one

Pretty sparkly water

Looks like some pretty serious fishing going on...
Evan and Daddy chatting about boats and water.

All the big kids - the babies were all back at the lake house asleep!

Ethan finally got on the waverunner this year, but under one condition... that he go under 3 MPH. So he did and was very satisfied.

Grammy and Sis

If you know Grandpa Richard you know this photo to be rare. He turned 93 in July. More than ever he and Grandma Virginia just love watching all their little great grandchildren run around and play.

Here is the whole crew except for Steven and Kayla, who are 11 and 13. Between Nathan, Carrie, and myself, there were 8 kids under 8, nearly every age represented!

  1. Looks like such a fun time with cousins. Your blog makes me miss family, friends, and how much fun it is to be together at the lake! Your kids are getting so big!
