Family Means Everything

First off, my Photoshop is down, so pictures are uncropped and unedited. I don't like that!

Anyway! Every late November for the past 40+ years my Dad has gone hunting with the guys and missed Thanksgiving all this time. Last year my Mom came up with the idea to start a family brunch tradition in mid-November so Dad can be a part of things. I host, she cooks.

I felt like this year was very special. Every single person in the family was able to come: Brad with his fiance', Carissa (the family has been dying to see pictures); Jon and the much-loved Taylor, and Carrie, Cam, and Phillip (we are grateful Phillip is back in our lives). I was very touched and kind of emotional. Family has always been very important to me. Though we kids have gone our separate ways in life, we can still find time for each other; and when that time is spent well and we create new and good memories, that, to me, is the meaning of life.

Phil and I moved around furniture and put one long table in our family room so there'd be room for everyone! I am so proud that this is my family.

Carissa and Brad - there she is everyone! They are getting married in June and it was exciting to talk wedding plans!

Carrie and Phillip - welcome back P! I was happy to note you have not changed at all. :)

The chronically-ready-for-a-photo-op Jon and Taylor. Taylor takes the LSAT soon - we have supreme confidence in you dear!

The Host and Hostess - I love doing this! It gives me a chance to use China and Silver that I rarely use.

The Queen of Brunch! This lovely Lady made ham/cheese/egg casserole, spinach and mushroom strata, coffee cake, pumpkin-chocolate chip muffines, and sausage; AND brought it all to my house! See? Hosting is easy when this is your Mother!

Evan's favorite spot among the Kramers is with Grandpa Tracy.

Cammy and Evan having fun together. Sorry, got no pictures of Sher and Eth, I think they were upstairs playing most of the time.

Thanks for a really wonderful brunch, Mom, and thanks to you all for coming over!
