Winter on the Great Plains
Finally. Yet after last winter's record snow and cold temps, missed days of school and work, and weary parents and kids, indeed it is blasphemy to utter such a word. But we have waited patiently, patiently for some sign of winter. We were grateful for safe travelling weather over the Holidays, but come January 1st the Frick Family Oath (not Uncle Bill Frick's, that's not printable) was, "Bring It On!"

Our backyard. I could stare at it for awhile. It's nothing special, just a tranquil place we get to call Home.
As far as he's concerned this is the first snow he's ever seen. He wasn't thrilled with the cold and couldn't stand to have the crystals melt on his fingers....
But he did like kicking it around.
See their scarves? Those are the ones Grammy Jo made! I love practical gifts, especially homemade ones!

The kids look warmly bundled up and fully enjoying the fresh powder. Have Fun!! Personally, I like the after-snow events (ie: hot cocoa) the best!
